Will you be spending time in Anaheim this summer? Maybe you will be visiting on a short trip, maybe you just recently moved to the area, or perhaps you have been living in Anaheim for years. No matter if you are a tourist or a life-long resident, here are three summer activities in Anaheim you are sure to enjoy.
Attend Summer Concerts
Although many events have been put on hold due to the pandemic, concerts will be picking back up again this summer! The City National Grove of Anaheim will be featuring performances from violinist Bijan Mortazavi, rock duo Air Supply, and singers Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo and Chiquis Rivera.
The House of Blues venue in Anaheim will also be having concerts again beginning in August, including performances by Beartooth, Nanpa Basico, and Future Islands. With such a variety of artists and shows, you will definitely find a concert in Anaheim that suits your interests.
In addition, this summer in Orange County, the OC Parks Summer Concert Series and Sunset Cinema Film Series are back! From June 18 to September 10, there will be 10 free concerts and 13 free movie showings. The concerts will be on Thursdays at 5:00 p.m., with the music beginning at 6:00 p.m. The movie nights will be on Fridays at 6:00 p.m., with the movie beginning at sundown. Visit the website to see a schedule of the events.
Explore Center City
With so many different things to do and see, Center City is the place to be in Anaheim during the summer. There are tons of places to eat and shop, they have regular performances from bands like the Honeydrops, and there is public art all around to see. They also have a farmers market on Thursdays and often hold different kinds of cooking classes. In Center City, you will also find the Anaheim Packing House, which is full of unique restaurants with tasty food.
Downtown Disney District
Finally, we can’t forget that Anaheim is home to the happiest place on earth: Disneyland. In addition to the Disneyland theme park, you can check out the Downtown Disney District, which does not require a ticket and is filled with fun themed restaurants and shops. This is a great place to spend the morning or afternoon with your family or friends.
Anaheim has so many great summer activities to choose from, and these are just a few spots you can start looking. Even if you have lived in Anaheim for a long time, the events and activities in these places are always new and unique.
