Chance Theater is an award-winning performing arts theater, recognized by the OC Register as “One of Orange County’s great local theaters” and by OC Weekly as “a major force on the Southern California theatrical landscape.”
With their mission “to contribute to a more connected, compassionate, and creative community,” they focus on giving artists and performers the support and opportunity to explore ideas, try new things, and demonstrate their talent. - Yellowman (September 24–October 24): A Pulitzer Prize finalist, Yellowman tells the story of an African-American woman and man who must overcome the barriers and prejudices of race and skin color.
- Striking 12 (November 26-December 26): A hybrid of musical theater and a pop-rock concert, Striking 12 tells the story of a grumpy, overworked New Yorker who has resolved to spend New Year’s Eve alone when a figure arrives, promising to chase away the winter doldrums.
