COVID-19 has had a devastating effect on the restaurant industry, with closed dine-in services leading to bankruptcy for hundreds of thousands of restaurants. According to a recent study, 17 percent of US restaurants closed due to COVID-19, and this number is projected to grow well into the new year. In 2020, the industry lost $240 billion in comparison to 2019’s sales. With restaurants typically contributing 4 percent to the national GDP and employing almost 1 in 10 Americans, they have a lot of ground to make up for in 2021.

A great example of a restaurant that only offers food for take-out, Italian Pizza Rosa is a great option for those who love a good large cheese or pepperoni pizza for a movie night with roommates. Our personal favorite is their thick-crust pepperoni pizza. You will not regret supporting this place!
Blake’s Place
Another great option for take-out or delivery is Blake’s Place, a delicious BBQ restaurant in Anaheim. If you’re craving some time in the sun with your meal, they also have patio seating for you to enjoy and have extended their outdoor seating to include even more tables. Another fun aspect of Blake’s Place is their Beast Challenge, which features a two and a half pound sandwich with pulled pork, pulled chicken, beef brisket, coleslaw, pickles, red onions, and BBQ sauce all on a massive fresh-baked bun. If you complete the challenge and eat the entire sandwich in less than 20 minutes, you even win a free T-shirt!
